I'm sure none of the College Common Room at the time will ever forget the testy e-mail Michael sent out to colleagues on 15th June 2015, after he discovered that somebody had taken his copy of The Times. Terse and to the point, this was typical of his wicked sense of humour.
"quis Tempora hodie abstulit? non tua sunt. mjc"
This resulted in a flurry of replies in many different languages, but I don't think the culprit ever owned up.
